A comprehensive international investigation is ongoing in Israel, Ukraine and the United States. The investigation is a very sensitive one and concerns senior political and business echelons in Ukraine. In such a sensitive period of global crisis, which requires leadership and public honesty, the suspicion that senior officials have used their status and capital to obtain services and protection inaccessible to the common people – infuriates many in Ukraine. The investigative agency has already identified at this stage that this involves a group that is active in both Ukraine and Israel, while trying to send arms to the United States and involving businessmen, medical personnel and public figures. We estimate that in light of the sensitivity of the issue and the insertion of Pfizer’s name to the issue, American investigative agencies will also take part in the investigation. The investigative agency is a long-standing and experienced international body, which uses investigative tools and advanced technologies, and will eventually expose the facts and truth.
As of today January 13th 2021, the country of Ukraine did not officially release any authorization for vaccination against the covid-19 coronavirus. Although orders have been placed from several suppliers worldwide to secure enough doses for its population.
Looking back, mid-december 2020, Ukrainian scientists planned to join production of Israeli COVID-19 vaccine. Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk and Minister of Health of the State of Israel Yuli Edelstein discussed cooperation in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, in particular, the joint work of Israeli and Ukrainian scientists on the rapid production of an Israeli vaccine.
In the meantime, the Ukrainian Lekhim group of pharmaceutical companies has agreed with China’s Sinovac Biotech to manufacture the company’s flu and COVID-19 vaccines at the Ukrainian facilities.
In the past week, various media outlets have published statements in regards to investigation of possible vaccines vials said to have been smuggled from Israel to Ukraine. The Minister of Health’s Office of the State of Israel Yuli (Yoel) Edelstein on Thursday last week dismissed reports of any secret supplies of a Pfizer vaccine for Ukrainian officials, claiming that a coronavirus vaccine could not have been smuggled from Israel to Ukraine. “Vaccines require deep freezing. It’s impossible for anyone to transport them unnoticed,” he said.
Furthermore, Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky has called for an immediate investigation into reports that state officials have secretly been vaccinated against COVID-19. A Ukrainian businessman stated in his news website that some lawmakers had been injected with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at a private clinic in the capital, Kyiv. Ukraine has not yet received any doses through official imports.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the SBU Security Service of Ukraine and other law enforcement agencies to immediately verify reports of the alleged smuggling. He stressed that smuggling and counterfeiting must be punished. In turn, Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal instructed the Health Ministry and the Ministry of Internal Affairs to look into reports of secret vaccination of lawmakers with drugs of unknown origin in one of Kyiv’s private clinics.
Ukraine, which has registered more than 1 million COVID-19 infections and 19,357 deaths, has signed a contract in December to buy 1.9 million doses of China’s Sinovac jab, and the shots are expected to be delivered soon.
Some Ukrainian media outlets reported that a clinic in Kyiv had begun inoculating people, probably with the vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech, at a charge of up to €3000 per dose.
Israeli media outlets have claimed that the coronavirus vaccines from Israel were allegedly smuggled to the Ukraine and offered to both senior officials and several prominent oligarchs. According to the Ukrainian news site Strana which revealed the affair, about 10 wealthy Ukrainians have already been vaccinated with this vaccine at a clinic in Kiev in exchange for vast sums of money.
According to our investigation into Ynet Israel News sources, a former Ukrainian member of parliament, Mykhailo Brodsky claims that Roman Goldman, a known businessman promoting medical tourism to Israel, contacted wealthy Ukrainians directly by text. He said the vaccines were transported from Israel in December 2020, likely not having been declared to custom authorities, and entered Ukraine with the help of a passport belonging to a member of parliament, through a VIP lounge used for dignitaries.
In an interview with the news outlet Obozrevatel, the now President of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Brodsky, shared details about the smuggling of vaccines against coronavirus into the country and vaccinations for the “elite” famous people’s deputies and top officials.
Brodsky also claimed that the Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal visited the clinic, allegedly in order to receive the vaccine, and other members of parliament had done the same. Brodsky did not provide any evidence to support his claim but slammed “people in power” who had failed to secure vaccines for the Ukrainian people but were willing to pay 100 times the cost of vaccines in Europe to preserve their own health.
Brodsky published a photograph in his blog showing Roman Goldman with the head of the parliamentary medical committee Mykhailo Radutskyi, and accused the latter of participating in the venture.
Brodsky has also claimed to have supplied a copy of a letter which was sent to the authorities in Israel requesting to investigate how Goldman managed to obtain the vaccines and transport them to Ukraine, and who had helped him.
Mykhailo Brodsky suggests that Denis Shmyhal and People’s Deputy Mykhailo Radutskyi must go under testing for antibodies to coronavirus to confirm the absence of secret vaccination.
A thorough investigation made on Goldman’s Facebook, Linkedin and on his own company profile, CEO at Tel-Aviv First Medical Clinic for the past eleven years, it appears that he represents himself as an active businessman promoting Ukrainian medical tourism to Israel for Ukrainian politicians and actors.
As it is currently under investigation in Israel and in Ukraine, reports about Roman Goldman claimed activities on helping smuggling vaccines into Ukraine are to be confirmed.
